Abstract

Implementation of Sepsis Care Bundle in a Tertiary Care Hospital and Its Impact on Patient Outcome

Author(s):Roopa Bhandary*

Sepsis is defined as a life threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection. Septic shock is associated with underlying circulatory and cellular or metabolic involvement. Surviving sepsis campaign guidelines have formulated the recommendations to be incorporated in sepsis care and management. However, implementing these guidelines into hospital settings could be challenging and needs to be tailor made to improve compliance.
