    Sialadenoma Papilliferum: "A Rare Benign Salivary Gland Tumor"

    Sialadenoma papilliferum is an uncommon, benign salivary gland neoplasm characterized by a distinctive papillary growth pattern. It most frequently arises in the minor salivary glands of the oral cavity, particularly the hard palate, though other intraoral sites have been reported. Clinically, the lesion presents as a slow-growing, painless, exophytic or nodular mass, often mimicking more common papillary or verrucous lesions. Histopathologically, sialadenoma papilliferum demonstrates a biphasic pattern consisting of a papillary squamous epithelial surface component and a sub epithelial proliferation of ductal and glandular salivary elements. Complete surgical excision is the treatment of choice and is associated with an excellent prognosis, with recurrence being rare.
